Hi Mary. :) So nice to know that you are blessed by Lord Ganesha. Modak is a steamed sweet dish that Ganesha likes very much. You can see him holding it in his palms in all his pictures. It is made of rice flour dumplings, filled with coconut and jaggery mixture.
Mary Sedici replied:
Thank you Usha, I will try to make some, also I am not sure we have here rice flour.

Baby Ganesha is very cute. He is very kind to all those who trust him.
Mary Sedici replied:
Usha dear - I am sorry I missed your comment. I am glad you like my baby Ganesha. I did this painting for the last year Ganesh Chaturthi. One year past, and soon, on September the 1st, we celebrate again his birthday :)
Mary Sedici replied:
Usha, may I ask if the modack is made with milk powder or with flour. I have seen two recepies, one was stating that is done making little balls from a sugar, milk powder, rose esence, butter and nuts. Another one replaced the milk p with flour and the balls were fried.
